Slip sliding away

Here's what playing on the backyard climber looks like these days.

Evan "helps" Adrienne up the slide by pushing on her rump. Notice she does not want to put down her water cup.

"See Adrienne? Come down on your belly!"

SURE, here I come, brother!

Or BACKWARDS and upside down!

I don't know about THAT one!

Taking turns their own way.

Stomp rockets!

Evan was given stomp rockets on his birthday in April because the kids across the street had them and he was fascinated. He thinks they're great except he gets frustrated when I can get them higher than he can. I obviously can exert more force, tee hee. Here he is showing Adrienne how it works.

Airborne!

Wahoo!

Letting Adrienne try it

Rocket taking off!

Adrienne tries a solo flight, but alas isn't coordinated enough to stomp on the launcher yet!

Batter up!

Recently Evan wanted to work on playing baseball. Since Donna played college ball and has coached softball quite a bit, obviously SHE was the best one to work on the boy's technique. It took him awhile to allow her to show him anything, and not much sunk in, but here was the action.

Beginning the process

Working on the technique

Not QUITE keeping his eyes on the ball!

Solo time!

So far he's not a natural, but he had fun!
